- Before installation, verify that the respective PC does not have any SQL programs installed (Microsoft SQL Server, Studio, .etc) and that all the necessary information (Access Token, WGet URL, Setup Details) is available.
Part 1: Installation of MySQL Express
Step 1: Run the MYSQL Installer and select new "New SQL Server Stand Alone" for the Installation Stage.
Step 2: In the License Terms Stage, tick the “I accept the license terms” box, and click on next.
Step 3: In the Feature Selection stage. Click on the select all icon, and click on next.
Step 4: In the Instance Configuration, do not change or edit the name (SQL Express) and select “Named Instance”, and click on next.
Step 5: In the Server Configuration and Database Engine Configuration, Click on the next icon for both without making any changes.
Step 6: Click on the next icon after Installation is complete.
Step 7: Ensure that the highlighted fields are marked as succeeded before closing the SQL Express Set-up.
Part 2: Installing SQL Management Studio
Step 1: Select New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation.
Step 2: In the Microsoft Update, Click on the next icon without any changes.
Step 3: In the Installation Type, select “Add features to an existing instance SQL Server 2014”, and make sure the selected instance is “SQLEXPRESS”. Click on next after that.
Step 4: In the Feature Selection, click on select all and click next.
Step 5: Click on the next icon after Installation is complete.
Step 6: Ensure that the highlighted fields are marked as succeeded before closing the SQL Management Studio Set-up.
Part 3: Creating the ARMS Database in SQL Management Studio
Remark: You may remove the script from the query field without saving after you’ve executed the script.
Step 1: Navigate to Windows and search for SQL Server 2014 Management Studio and run the porgram.
Step 2: In the Connect to Server popup, click on the Connect Icon. Note the Server Name.
Step 3: Once connected, create a new query via the New Query icon.
Step 4: Enter the following line and Execute: CREATE DATABASE ARMSDATA;
Step 5: Once done, remove the previous line and enter the following line and Execute: Use ARMSDATA;
Step 6: Once done, remove the previous line. Copy and paste the script from the attached CreateTable.txt file and click the Execute icon.
Step 7: Verify if ARMSDATA has appeared on the database field, and close the SQL Management Studio.
Part 4: Installing ARMS Barcoder Software
Step 1: Go to the Barcoder_2.0.0 file and run the ArmsBarcoderCheckDongle.msi executable.
Step 2: Click on the next icon.
Step 3: Select the Installation Folder. Revise the folder name to "ARMSBarcoder" and select “Everyone”, click on the next icon.
Step 4: In the Confirm Installation, click on the next icon.
Step 5: Once the installation is complete, navigate to their directory and open ArmsBarcoderSuite.exe.config using Notepad.
Step 6: Fill in the following information (Based on the access token and backend URL).
Step 7: Fill in the following information (Server URL, Port, UserID, Database, and Password). Note that the commonly used Port ID is 3306.
• All customers have the same port no. 3306.
• UserID, Database and Password can be found from Screen 1 of the counter setup.
Step 8: Save and close the file after you’ve filled in the information as per Step 6 and 7.
Part 5: Pairing Using The ArmsAdminTool
• You can find the Device ID from the SQL Server 2014 Management Studio Connect to Server Screen.
• Delete the ArmsAdminTool folder from the customer's PC before handing over to the customer.
Step 1: Open the ArmsAdminTool application after you have placed the files into the Barcoder directory
Step 2: Fill in the required fields and click the Pair Device option. Note that the rear part of the URL must be preserved. User access may be tested via the Test Login option.
Part 6: Create the Arms Barcoder Suite Shortcut on the Desktop
Step 1: Navigate to the Barcoder directory, and right-click on the ArmsBarcoderSuite.exe, and select send to Desktop to place an icon there.
Step 2: To change Icon, right-click on the shortcut created and select properties. Click on the change icon and select the desired icon. Then click on the Apply and OK icon.
Part 6: Installing Winlabel Barcode Design Suite
Step 1: Select the setup language and click on next.
Step 2: Select Install Winlabel for “Everyone”, and click on next.
Step 3: Tick the “I accept the license terms” box, and click on the Install icon. Click on run after the installation is complete.
